Burning Bright was my first band when I moved to Chicago. It was started by Jeff Pagliocca (formerly of John Brown Battery) and myself and went on to include George and Adam who both would go on to play in Silent Sirens. We toured with Hawthorne Heights, Bayside, Number One Fan, Lola Ray, Jamison Parker and played the 2005 ASCAP SXSW showcase, Bamboozle 2005 and Warped Tour 2005.

This download includes our EP This Heartbreak Has A Beat produced by John Naclerio and our demos, including two versions of the acoustic version of Sorry Means Never Having To Say I Love You. Enjoy!

* Note: Some people call it Earf, but whatever.

In my meaningless and somewhat misinformed opinion, “Take Five” is one of the three best jazz songs in the history of the genre. If you disagree, you’re wrong.

My dad played this song all the time when I was growing up. It was my intro to jazz, my intro to Brubeck, my intro to odd time, and now it’s a song rich in nostalgia, that brings back so many happy memories of a man I miss the ever-loving shit out of.

Buy everything Dave Brubeck’s ever been a part of.
